COLLAB POST FEAT.
I'M WITH THE BAND TURBAN WRAP
PHOTOGRAPHY BY DELANE ASHLEY
Calling all my gypsy souls, punk rockers, hippie hearts and all-around creatives -- sometimes it just takes the simple golden glow of afternoon sunlight to jumpstart inspiration. The bouncing azure blues, fiery tangerines and perfectly plum paint of this mandala-inspired graffiti wall totally came to life as it baked in the 5pm rays. As we drove past couldn't NOT stop for a few shots.
LOOK 1

My first look revolved around a 60s-era Woodstock feel, compliments to my Kimchi Blue Laurel Blouse (Urban Outfitters) and Plum Velvet Turban from I'm With The Band Headbands. The feel is flowy, cue the bell sleeves, but a obviously little dark around the edges. Groovy grunge, can that be a thing? All of I'm With The Band's head wraps are handmade in the US and come in a variety of materials and colors/prints -- perfect for anyone who loves themselves a good dose of boho fashion. You can also follow IWTBH on their Facebook page and Insta account.
And while no outfit can be complete without the right amount of accessories (and when I mean right, I mean overloaded) -- I've finished with layers of my handmade gems. I've been into silver lately, hence the stacks of modern metal. Featured is one of my Crystal Tattoo Chokers and my Moonchild Necklace -- both better when stacked with more sparkle, if you ask me.
Black harem pants and strappy Grecian sandals also from Urban. Lace vest from Generation Bliss. Sunglasses Emilio Pucci.
DEAD LEAVES AND THE DIRTY GROUND

This flower wall was NO JOKE. My photographer suggested this spot and we were not disappointed. The sheer volume of wall-climbing blooms in deep fuchsia and ruby reds contrasted against the delicately cluttered floor covering of muted pink petals perfectly. I love love love the mix of light and dark, whether literally or figuratively. Such as the inspiration for this next outfit.

I wanted to show everyone the versatility of this turban wrap - why not wear it with a topknot?! My added touch were these wire wrapped flower pins -- tutorial may just be coming soon! -- which provide added glitz and detailing. These head wraps are great for dressing up or down, so get creative!
My school of thinking is to pair anything super luxe with something tattered, torn, or edgy. Hence the completely destroyed, tattered shirt (Urban again) and vegan leather pants, to balance out the entire mood. My choice of accessories here took a complete 360 and focused on golden tones. I stacked stretch bracelets (super easy to make) in crystal colors to get an effortless shimmer, and finished with layered necklaces in varying lengths. It's kinda like you threw everything together, but it has a certain order to it. Organized chaos. Don't ever take anything too seriously.
A good dusting of fairy glitter finishes out this post - spread the magic!
Studded boots and pants from Forever21.
Above: "Walking Dead Zombie Chic"-inspired pose. I don't know if this is my favorite, or my Surf's Up gif in Look 1. The competition is so close......
