Midnight Mandala Chokers

The combination of lace, indie charms and Swarovski is surely a winning one. And not to mention that chokers are insanely trending on all social sites,,,,,,but seriously, these are super simple to make! You just have to find yourself some cool lace trim - links below - and dainty charms, then you're set! No intense beading skills needed.
I love my basics (black and white) but if you're into more color, go with neon lace trim for a bright pop of color. These are also perfect for summer -- wear layered with other longer necklaces for a boho, beachy feel.

Honestly, it probably took you more time to read the above than it will for you to make one of these baddies. Read below for the full tutorial!!

Step 1: Gather materials. Needed are Swarovski crystal flatbacks in any size (similar here), mixed silver charms (similar here), lace trim, 4mm and 6mm jump rings, silver lobster clasps, ribbon or cord ends, superglue or Gem-Tac, flatnose pliers and scissors.

You can get any style of lace trim from your fabric store or even Amazon (similar here) -- I even found pineapple trim and other cool styles!

I used Swarovski Volcano, Paradise Shine and Crystal AB flatbacks - in case you were wondering about the colors! I love the Volcano ones (here) which change from a purple-blue to an orange-red hue, depending on the lighting!

Step 2: Cut a piece of lace to fit around your neck, like a choker. Mine was about 12". Add cord or ribbon ends to each end. Connect two 6mm jump rings to each side, and add a lobster clasp to one of these sides.

Step 3: Attach your charm to the center of the lace with a 4mm jump ring. Use a headpin or eye pin to dab small dots of glue on the lace, then press down your flatbacks to adhere. You can add as many or as little flatbacks as you'd like!

Simply wait for the necklace to dry a couple of hours.

These are comfortable - online other styles of chokers - because the lace lays against your skin and stretches a little. Chokers sometimes, who'd have though, choke and bother me, but I love these.

Make a bunch of these in every style!! Post any creation to your Instagram account and tag me @quietlioncreations, I'll repost you!!
